1. How does Grip Link work?
Grip Link is a safety gripping surface that is placed directly on existing handrails and grab bars. It is an easy-to-use peel and stick product that dramatically improves the gripping surface of railing by adding a non-slip surface. It's also comfortable, and keeps railing and grab bars at a functional temperature.

2. What is the secret to removing the Grip Link if it is supposed to be on the railing permanently?
It is difficult to peel Grip Link off from the middle of the railing, which helps keep it in place. The technique for removing Grip Link is easy. Simply start at one end of the strip of Grip Link and lift the corners up, then lift the edges. Once the edges are lifted, just peel back Grip Link‚ starting at one end. It comes off smoothly and in one piece. There is no scrapping involved, and it won't leave any sticky residue. If the railing was corroded or had deteriorating paint prior to adding Grip Link, a small amount of adhesive residue could be left. However, this can be removed easily with any cleaner such as a window cleaner.

3. How do you keep Grip Link from being peeled off?
Since Grip Link is difficult to peel off from the middle of the product, securing the ends of the product with a clear finish tape keeps Grip Link in place and prevents this type of tampering. This finish tape is included with the product.

4. What happens if it does get peeled up?
Although Grip Link can not be peeled off from the middle of the rail, there may be rare occasions that the edges may be deliberately peeled back. If this happens, just straighten out the peeled portion of Grip Link and lay it back down. It will settle and straighten itself out within a short period of time. Grip Link settles over time and reacts to the heat and U.V. by tightening itself on the railing. This means Grip Link bonds with the railing, giving it a more permanent feeling. Yet, it will not leave adhesive residue when removed.

5. How often should it be changed?
Grip Link only needs to be changed if there is damage or wear over time. You may only need to replace small sections. Grip Link cleans easily (see question 7).
